Music is an integral part of our worship and our life together.  Our services feature choral offerings in a variety of styles by a talented choir, and several hymns sung enthusiastically by the congregation. Accompaniment is by the Baldwin Concert Grand Piano, the 1891 Johnson and Sons tracker pipe organ and occasionally other instruments.  (We buck the humorous notion of Presbyterians as “God’s Frozen Chosen”.)  We use the Presbyterian Church USA hymnal, supplementing it from time to time with songs from other sources.  The service is concluded with a choral or instrumental recital, occasionally featuring students from church families and guest musicians.

We are fortunate to have Dr. Willard R. Kesling Jr., award-winning conductor and Director of Choral Music at the University of Florida and the Gainesville Civic Chorus, as our Music Director.

Special concerts are held throughout the year.  We have hosted a children’s Choir from Korea, a Quartet from Russia, and a number of local groups and individual artists.

We encourage musicians to suggest recitals and programs using our instruments and facilities. Contact our Music Director, Dr. Will Kesling, or our Organ Curator, Dr. Sam Trickey.
