Liturgical Seasons

Lent, Holy Week, and Easter

… begins with an Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 PM, at which time ashes from last year’s Palm Sunday will be placed on the foreheads of those attending.

Holy Week

begins on Palm Sunday. Our 9:30 AM service opens with the waving of palm branches as a symbol of our Savior’s entry into Jerusalem. We meet at 9:15 to receive our palm branch and join in the procession into the Sanctuary.

Our Maundy Thursday, a light dinner and a service of remembrance is held.

Easter Sunrise Service

… is held in our lovely outdoor worship space.

Easter Breakfast

… follows the Sunrise Service. This is a potluck meal at which members and  guests share their favorite breakfast dishes.

Easter Worship Service

… begins at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary. Special musical offerings are made by our choir, our organist and a guest brass ensemble. The centerpiece of our Worship life together is this welcoming celebration for our risen Lord.

Advent and Christmas


Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas. We anticipate the coming of Christ with special musical offerings, the lighting each week the candles in the Advent Wreath.

A special Westminster tradition is our annual Advent Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 6:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome!

Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols

To celebrate Christ’s birth, we hold a special candlelight service at 6:30 PM on Christmas Eve, featuring the singing of our favorite Christmas carols, the reading of the Bible stories of Jesus’ birth, and the lighting of candles.
